In 2015 I embarked on an epic crafting mission, a handmade wedding. Inspiration came from a Pinterest find of a crocheted wedding bouquet. It was simply the most beautiful item made from yarn I had ever seen, which got me thinking why create only the bouquet? I had enough time to knit all the flowers as long as I didn’t make plans too extravagant! – Hmmm possibly easier said than done…
Over the course of nearly a year, and with the enlisted help of my family and friends we created knitted flower arrangements for the venues and church, including a massive floral arch for the church door; crocheted bouquets, buttonholes and corsages; paper floral arrangements; invitations, orders of service and menus; backdrops; bunting; staircase vines and a whole host of table decor and church decorations.
